Electronics

Electronic products are a key part of our everyday life, whether it be communicating with a friend or listening to music, electronics plays a huge role in our technological society.

As part of the two year course offered in Year 10 and 11 students will gain knowledge of a range of electronic components, electronic system blocks, materials and processing, evaluation techniques and computer aided manufacture techniques, through a combination of practical and theory based activities.

The first term of Year 10 looks at building on the electronics theory that has been gained throughout KS3, in preparation for the coursework which runs from February to February. Focus then turns to preparation for the 2 hour exam, to ensure that pupils have the electronics knowledge required.
