Philosophy, Religion and Ethics shape our lives, culture and beliefs in more ways than many people imagine. From the buildings around us, to the way to we dress, to our art, music and entertainment all have been influenced by these subjects. But perhaps most importantly, they influence the way we think and act. PRE is all about understanding other people and what they believe, be it they religious or not. In our increasingly multicultural society, this understanding other people is a vital skill for everyone. Students are also encouraged to think about their own beliefs, to develop a questioning approach to what is right and wrong and to consider what is of value in their own lives. So, if you have ever wondered whether God exists, what happiness really is or whether we have duty to look after the environment, then you will really enjoy PRE at John Port!
