As a parent of a John Port student you automatically become a member of the P.T.A. However, we are always in need of new committee members and helpers and I would like to encourage as many parents as possible to take an active role. Please come along to our A.G.M. on Wednesday the 28th of September at 7.30pm to find out more.

Our fund raising activities include a Christmas Extravaganza , Race Nights, Hanging Basket sales, Cookery Experience days, Quizzes and the Summer Festival. We also provide Discos for students in years 7 and 8. All money raised is put back into the school to help purchase things which would not be possible from normal capitation.

During the academic year 2010-11 we have presented the school with £10,000 to help purchase a new school minibus. We have also sponsored prizes for years 11/13 Presentation Evening and purchased student planners for everyone in years 7-11. We also have a Gift Aid Scheme – a relatively “painless” way of giving money to the school. For more information of Gift Aid and an application form please click here.
