A level Results Day

A Level results at John Port School have improved significantly this year.

30% of all grades achieved were at A* and A, compared to 24% in 2016.  53% were A*, A and B grades, compared to 47% in 2016 and 80% were A* - C grades, compared to 73% in 2016.

Three students achieved A*s in all of their subjects with a further 15 achieving A* and A grades in all of their subjects.

Phil Smith, Acting Headteacher, said how proud he was of the student’s results and that their hard work had been rewarded.  He also thanked the teachers who taught the A Level courses.

Sir Barry Day, Chairman of the Interim Academy Board, commented that the Board had a relentless focus on raising academic standards at the school and that he was delighted by the improvements.
