Mercury

Welcome to Mercury House

Head of House - Mrs Davies

“Every accomplishment starts with the decision to try”

In Mercury, we believe that by making the commitment to trying our best and undertaking new challenges will lead us to become successful both as individuals and as a House community. Our aim is to work together to achieve a positive and caring ethos within our House that will inspire us to go on to achieve the successful  outcomes we deserve.

Our House is named after the Roman God Mercury who was the God of hard work, success, rewards and communication.

Celebrating Mercury!

In our first year as a House, Mercury made an excellent start to becoming a community. As a House, we had the second highest attendance in the school for that last academic year and we won the Etwall Church Christmas tree decorating competition when we teamed up with Vulcan House. We also came a very close second in the STEM roller coaster challenge! We entered many inter-form and inter-house competitions throughout the year and had some fantastic students enter into John Port’s Got Talent. This year, we are aiming to build on these achievements and our Committee are already working on some exciting opportunities for students to get  involved in over the course of this year!

Mercury Making a Difference!

Mercury House is proud to be supporting and working in conjunction with the MHA Live at Home Scheme. We have lots of exciting plans for working with the scheme to help us make a difference to the lives of  people in our local community.
