Nestlé and Mykindafuture Workshops
Nestlé and MyKindaFuture have recently visited school to deliver two workshops to selected students from Year 10, 11 and Sixth Form.
The workshops were to help students understand how STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects are used within careers as well as develop their understanding of the roles available at the local Nestlé site. The first workshop was based on a challenge called “Zero to Hero” and the focus of the second one was developing key employability skills. Hopefully some of our students will be lucky enough to go through to the final for a day at Nestlé and paid work experience.
The workshop leaders were very impressed with our students: "The students at John Port school really grasped the work at hand with gusto and applied themselves well. They were a credit to the school."
